Default Request: fixed tactical map grid

It gets a bit confusing at time to have the tactical map grid move with the camera, when gauging distances and such.

It would be better if it were fixed a la Silent Hunter (3 at least), if only as an option.

Thoughts?

You can switch between fixed and moving. And bind a key for switching.

Default is:

Centre Map=Backslash
Auto Centre Map=LeftShift+Backslash

That's not what I mean. I'd like the grid and the icons to be "tied" together, not have the former move around when I move the camera.

Otherwise it's like the icons and the grid exist on different levels.

Each TacMap should show the distance value of a square box. I am changing things pretty quickly and having the TacMap labelled would be helpful.

Or, at least, someone tell me what scale it is.

It says in the top right corner what the scale is or is that not what you're looking for?

Also two things I didn't notice for a long while:

If you hit space and trace out a waypoint for a weapon, it will give you the distance/range of the line. You can then hit Esc and cancel it.

Your contact info in the bottom left has range on it. Not great for long range sonar contacts but if you're getting ready for a shot on a 95% solution it's quite handy.

On the top right corner of the tactical map screen, you can read the size of the boxes in KY, adjusted for the zoom level.
