Finding Contact Course and Speed with Passive Sonar
Hi all, I remember a about a year ago having some handy PDF detailing how to find a sonar contact's course and speed using only bearings. Looking through the forums now though, I can't find it. Driving me insane! Anyone have a copy/know what I'm talking about?

THEBERBSTER has that documented in the SH5 folder: Using The 4 Bearing True Method By Trevally
There is another thread of that some where, and I thought there was a video linked in Rockin Robbins thread Sub Skipper's Bag of Tricks, but I cannot find those... Last edited by propbeanie; 02-16-21 at 10:31 PM. Reason: I can't type either... sigh |

Youtube matey, youtube.
Silent Hunter 4 Dick O'Kane Sonar Only Technique Tutorial by Rockin Robbins, 4 out of 4 hits, impressive. Silent Hunter 4 WernerSobe Sonar Only Tutorial, (recorded at low quality). Silent Hunter 4 Sonar Attack and 100% Realism Part 1, (no vocal instructions from the recorder). Silent Hunter 4 Sonar Attack and 100% Realism Part 2 (same as above)

There's the hits from Moonlight! The WernerSobe version is what I was thinking of for the vid! I think somewhere in the SH3 threads is a tutorial with pictures... I might have it on my hard drive somewhere buried in these hundreds of gigabytes of hard drives... yeesh!
