I think you may have stumbled on the real reason for the overall ineffectiveness of Japanese battleships - they killed off their own crews with each overblast, so the allied navies didn't have to bother :rotfl:

When you see all these screenies you can see how far SH4 has come..
Just go back to the first pages of this thread and you will see what I mean.

A big bow to all the guys here that made this game what it is today.

Cheers..

Foo

With the new oil slick fires, ROW, and 3 torps in her side, the Mogami leaves a nice trail to follow....

Exactly Foo ... it's a major walk down digital memory lane!

@ seafarer ... LOL, ya, I thought maybe they were Disneyland animatronics spinning round and singing "It's a small, small world"!!!

MONOLITH ... sweet shot!

I've looked at that picture, and never noticed the crew standing there! They should be dead for sure!

Yup Leo ... those 18" mamas had just fired!

I had taken a bunch of screens. I was looking to see how well 1.2 did with forced AA and AF. I was fascinated how the swirl of the smoke had been rendered and clicked off a few more. When I saw the shots in FRAPS I said "My God ... what the hell are those dudes 'still' doing there?!" :rotfl:

I really like the swirling smoke in the shot though. The play of light and shadow in the smoke and the left over flash to the right ... the gray tones offset by the crimson in the flag ... well, it's kind like ROW .... atmospheric!

I just couldn't resist getting it to happen. Plus with making sure the muzzle flash and smoke react's to the wind state's was just an added bonus.

You should see it in 15mps winds looks really cool!

But great catching that in a picture.

I try to pay attention to what people ask for just takes me time to get to it LOL!!!

The perfect salvo.... Fired all 4 tubes. Perfect spread. Still took over an hour and two more torps to sink her with NSM classic. I think I'm switching to 'light'.

I use the light vs as well can't stand waiting for them to sink for hours at a time!
