Real Navigation: What is the difference between report C,D or S of navigator officer?
Hi,
with real navigation on I have 3 options to calculate the course via navigation officer: C (celestrial), D (dead reckoning) or S. Whats the difference between them? Which one is the most accurate? And when do I use which calculation? THX McM Last edited by MCM; 01-16-16 at 04:45 AM. |

So everyone is playing real navigation but noone knows what the different location calculations are meaning? If I translate it then celestrial means something with stars. So this is a measurement via the sky right? With sextant? Then this should be quite exactly. More exactly like dead reckoning were it is more math calculated or? And what is the last one?

https://www.google.rs/webhp?sourceid...dead+reckoning You can set navigators "skill" and precision with OFEV app... Hover your cursor over the nav fix UI commands and you will see tooltips with more detailed description...
