TMO 2.5 'Terrible T' Question

I love the idea of having a Tambor for the duration of the war. It can't be played (at least not for me) with RSRDC as RSRDC overwrites the 'T' campaign. That's a small price to pay for me though.

My question is has anyone else played it yet? My career is now in Jan 1944 and my conning tower still hasn't been trimmed down. I have all the other upgrades available for the time period...SJ-1, APR1/SPA-1, and yet still no trim down. Is it possible that it's my game or PC?

The 'T' campaign cannot be started later in the war, only the beginning. So as a Tambor/Gar class lover, I was excited about the whole concept but now my bubble has been burst.

Edit: I think maybe by having installed RSRDC and then needing to remove it, it may have bugged the 'Terrible T' campaign...I have dumped the TMO 2.5 I had, and have installed a fresh 2.5 download, only time will tell if this has corrected the problem.
