Default TWoS SH5 Captain - Voice Macro Profile

This is not a mod for SH5. It is a voice recognition profile for Voice Macro (free alternative to Voice Attack)

Latest Version: 1.2

Download SH5 Captain 1.2
(Right click, save as. The host is fairly slow, sorry. Its an old and unmaintained sever)

Use of this profile will require Voice Macro (https://www.voicemacro.net/).

What does it do?
  • Engine Controls
  • Rudder Controls
  • Heading Controls
  • Depth Controls
  • Torpedo settings
  • TDC Settings
  • Officers Orders
  • Teleports

Image recognition is used for almost all functions that cannot be controlled by a hotkey, so there should not be as many issues with different screen sizes than if it was based on fixed coordinates.

Commands that utilise parts of the GUI from behind which the game view is visible (such as the officer orders) can be a bit hit-and-miss when on top of bright game visuals. Use officer commands in a darker setting like the periscope or looking at the ocean instead of the sky.

What doesn't it do?

It will not play the game for you, but it will allow you to call out commands whilst you are doing chart work and for those that enjoy it, add a bit more realism when hunting those convoys.

Course headings using true bearings is not currently available. However, I hope to implement a solution that will not only be accurate, but also be fast and simple to use.

Also, diving the boat to a spoken depth below 50 metres has yet to be implemented. It will be soon though.

How to Install?
  1. Unzip the folder directly into the Voice Macro installation folder.
  2. Within Voice Macro, import the XML file
  3. Open the configuration macro and set your screen size and installation folder for voice macro

What commands are there?

List of current voice commands

For the best results, you will have to configure windows voice recognition and train it to recognise your voice. It doesn't take very long to do and the more you train it, the better the commands will work with your own unique dialect. A quick search on google will provide you with a how-to.

Can/Will you add new features?

Hope somebody finds this useful. I am updating it slowly for my own use, but am quite happy to include any features that are realistic to implement given the limitations of the program. Any bugs or problems, post them here.
