Default Micro desktops..

I'm starting to think about a follow-on desktop in case my daily driver ever fries itself.

Towers appear to be going extinct, so I wanted to start looking at micro desktops. In other words, a non portable lap top.

This is not encouraging:

Power specs sound good and Capt. A.D.D. does mention that power won't be cheap in most of the world.

But, for such low power demands, it sounds like this thing could also be a fairly good toaster oven.

Performance? Well, we could take this guy's word for it if he actually did anything with it.

It plugs into the wall!

It gets hot!!

It makes noise!!

OK, then what?

If it's getting hot then you'd think it was actually using a lot of power

That system needs an extractor fan in it to cool it down, you'll probably get some bright spark entrepreneur selling some soon, I've no idea if you could fit one yourself or if you could even get one to fit in it but as it stands now, I won't be purchasing one of those models.

If you want to save on electricity bills you could always duct tape a gas powered leaf blower to it.
