Oh wow... I did not know that existed... now I'll have to try and find my SH2 disk, in addition to my DC disk... lol - there is a ReadMe in the archive, and in part it has:
I have also included the files of the mine mode by Blowballast&Co into this download. I would recommend to use the included "Pyro.psf" file which comprises Vickers effects and Suttorad's mod for the small and medium shell splash (some CB's underwater effects are also added). This requires that the Vickers fireball & oilslick mod has been installed on your computer.

INSTALLATION

1. Extract files with the .UDF extension to ..\Silent Hunter II\Sim\Units folder.
They will not overwrite anything.

2. Files with .JRF extension to ..\Silent Hunter II\Sim\Models
These files do not overwrite any stock files.

3. Files with .DDF and .ADF extensions should go to ..\Silent Hunter II\Sim\Systems.

4. "Pyro.psf" to ..\Silent Hunter II\Sim\Art\Pyro.

Good hunting,
sergbuto
You would need vickers fireball and oilslick mod, if you use the psf file...

You probably already know that you will need a scenario sdf that switches these from AI to Human ( player control).

I tested these files in DC since both of these German “ Schnellboots “ S38 and s100 models are in that game and appear in default scenarios. They also work in custom scenarios but I was unable to switch them to “player control” in DC. .

In the Eboats mod Sergbuto defines both models as Submarines in their UDFs and thats how they behave when I put into DC. . ie as subs not surface craft-I’m not sure of the intent ? I was unable to switch these Models from AI to player control too.

Note: IMHO “ PT Boats: Knights of the Sea and South Gambit” do a nice job with Schnellboats-both inexpensive on Steam.

That is SOP with the SH games if you want a player-controlled surface boat or ship. That is all the game recognizes for the player to drive, is a submarine. You do have to be careful that you do not choose any scenarios that start with the submarine submerged, because a Schnellboat driver might find it difficult to breath, and the boat will most likely blow-up... lol

I wonder if it wouldn't be easier to change the DC Fletcher to a Schnellboat... hmmm... of course, you would have trouble with "sides"....

If your asking where the scenarios are for these E-boat models - I don’t know.

In general , The SHII Mission or scenario files are stored in C:\Program Files\SSI\Silent Hunter II\Shell\Scenarios

The scenario files are file type “.sdf”They are text documents (script) that can be opened with notepad, changed, saved , and run in the game.

For an introduction on editing or creating new scenario files see : “Silent Hunter II Scenario Hand Edit Guide” near the bottom of this page :
