Pacific Aces Question

Since SH2 is like, ancient, will PA be released for free? Or has it already been released? I have SH2 and have played the life out of it.

I am curious about this, as well as the SH2 hi-res patch, since it is required for PA.

There was a user who PM'd me about a one time download for PA, but the download would never finish. I tried like 5 times. I would like to get PA, and this "Hi-res" patch. The graphics of SH2 arent too great.

For a simulation, it is good enough. Granted that even for 2002, SH2 could have been better, I am not complaining too much.

Fair enough. Silent Hunter 2 was the game that brought me into the Subsim world. It sparked my interest in subs. (Subsim.com has a large part of that) And i discovered SH3 and Dangerous Waters (which i havent ordered yet ) and here i am today.

Salute for subsim!

Well, I was hoping someone would have the lite version which was for free year ago, but can only find the one on subsim. I think its time for it to be free. Dont care how old sh2 is, it started it all and still play. Dont have time to get into new stuff.

The one you need to tell is Neal Stevens, the site owner. Other than that it's not going to happen.

For you maybe it started it all. I was playing SH1 six years earlier and Silent Service almost a decade before that.

Too bad. SH2's "campaign" is what makes it the absolute worst of the Silent Hunter series. Pacific Aces helps a lot, but doesn't begin to compare to SH4, and SH3 has it all over SH2 in every way imaginable.
