Default Changes you'd like to see?

I'd like a change:

1. To the destroyer/corvette AI so that they automatically get out of the way of inbound destroyers or corvettes.

2. Usable hedge-hogs 15 minute reload time? (guess)

3. Ability to play as a corvette or river class.

4. Multiplayer option, preferably in concert with Wolfpack so that players of game can invite players of the opposing side. Each would play with their own front-end, with ship/u-boat positions and states being common to both.

5. Roll as well as pitch and yaw in the destroyers movements according to sea-state.

6. British ships, with British weapons, speech, equipment and procedures, with no concession to making anything "vanilla".

7. Ability to suppress radio comms from ships attacking other targets, except if they sink it. This would allow for more verbal traffic from your asdic operator as one nears the u-boat, rather than him remaining silent whilst Hockey waffles on that he's "lost contact 9100 yards away". As an alternative, being able to rank the sequence with which you recieve data from other targets might also work well? Need's work in this area imho.

8. Allow for custom battles to be saved, so that can simply select "usual" and then all the settings for the customized last battle are so set, rather than having to enter them every....single....bloody.... time!

Needed Fixes:
In my game there's often a discrepancy between the compass reading, and the voiced bearing of circa 6 degrees. Not sure of the precise circumstances, however it happens every game I play.
Complete loss of text after a period of play - circa 4 hours.

Please add your own?

I am getting a bad feeling this sim is a one-trick pony.
There have been updates but they are underwhelming. I own U-Boat and they just pump out updates. Anyway it’s still on my hard drive but I have way too many strategy games/ sims to waste my time waiting for a simple code change on Uboat characteristics in this sim. Hell they can’t even do a cosmetic change on the facing of the rear turrets
Nice package...but a lot of styrofoam and cellophane in this box in this early access box.

Just my opinion. If you are on the fence on this one in purchasing my advice is to wait.

I'd like there to be an option for the AI to behave a little bit more defensively when discovered and actively depthcharged. Right now they seem to have no self preservation and will do some wildly reckless things like surfacing less than 2 km from escorts in order to catch up to the convoy on the surface.

They also seem to have unlimited air pressure to surface and dive repeatedly.

I would also like to see different versions and types of uboats like the VIIC/41 and 42, the Type IIA/B/C/D and the type XI uboat.

Would also be nice to be able to get the AAA crew to shoot at periscopes and surfaced uboats as well.

Also air and surface threats maybe. Not sure how historicially correct it would be to, on rare occasions, be attacked by surface and/or aircraft in campaign and scenarios.

YES!!!
This is point which Artur discussed with Neal last video.
They have not so many resources.

My God... Artur... look what community does with SH series!
Give us a tool, and community may create a different covettes, destroyers, merchants, submarines, warships from overall world!

Are you bored with Atlantic scenario?
Go to Mediterranean Sea and protect Italian transports to Africa! No?
Try to protect US carriers from japanese subs at calm Pacific.
Use the community!!!

Multiplayer this time is "must have".
All versions of MP.

Ship-alone version is perect to cooperate few players against wolfpack.

Shared-ship is an option too. In fact here is a lot of option and play fun:
- observer(s) with searchlight(s)
- bridge (my ship collided with convoy ships several times)
- weapon operator (AA / gun / torpedo)
- DC operator
- radioman / sonarman

PvP version...
Imagine dark night where you escort Ozawa's fleet at way to Phillipine Sea and moment where you're attacked by group of human-controlled US submarines... magic!

BTW. PvP (playable subs) may be a DLC extra-paid.
I'm still waiting for successor of DC vs SH2 battles!

My extra wishes here:
  • Keep player's attention by access community to 3D engine, preparation player's scenarios (or carrer) for SP, Co-Op, Share-Ship, PvP missions;
  • Different weather conditions: calm, night, fog, storm, snow;
  • Damage model like uboat use gun to hit DD, minor daamages from torpedoes
  • Attacks of enemy planes (bombers / torpedo carriers)

I'm really surprise no-one else picked up on the need for the ships to roll as well as the modelled pitch and yaw. Currently the destroyer drives like a tram!
