Default Life-saving - TMO 2.5 + RSRD

after torpedoing this merchie we watched her sink.
we figured the guy in the middle was walking a tightrope in order to move from the sinking aft portion of his ship to the less sinking portion of the forward part of his ship.



it does not look like he will make it.

What is your mod list there smm? The SH4 completely ignores attempts to tame the Mark 10, which means we rely upon the player to keep them on impact pistol...
 
The Mark 10 did not have as high of a chance for duds as the Mark 14 did, by a long shot. There were some, usually "wandering" on their track, or sometimes a circle runner, sometimes no detonation upon impact, but generally rather reliable torpedoes, if a bit anemic in the explosion strength. One thing to watch for with the S-Boat, is that since the Mark 14 torpedo is listed first in the Weapons upc file, if you empty your stores while on patrol, when you come back in to dock and End Patrol, the game will load you up with Mark 14 devices. Easy enough to change, if you remember to do so, or prior to docking, go ahead and do the re-arm choice, and load-up on torpedoes, then dock. Just one of those SH4 kind of things.

I didn't play SH4 for more than a decade, and didn't really want to spend too much time investigating mods TBH .


So went for this as a super-mod. Happy to hear about others that work well with that - especially if they work with an existing save

As an entirely aside question (which I don't know where to ask) - is there mod for any SH/anything that would do UK subs Med campaign? It was pretty intense, with tons of IT/GE shipping to North Africa, shallow waters, lots of planes and very good IT ASW small boats - but didn't see anything on that anywhere, ever.
