Silent Depth Submarine Simulator

Welcome Captain to the first real World War II submarine simulation for mobile devices playing in the Pacific Ocean. You are a member of the Silent Service, the submarine armed force of the US Navy.
Being in command of an American Gato/Balao class submarine you will go on extended patrols. Your task is to attack Japanese merchant ships without being caught by destroyer escorts either using your torpedo weapons or your deck gun in a realistic environment. How well will you do? Will you survive?

* Real day/night cycles with realistic sun/moon/star settings and lighting
* Different weather conditions with changed visibility (including fog, rain)
* Realistic water
* A huge world: The whole Pacific!
* Realistic damage models, repair your submarine, prioritize your tasks dependent whether your submarine is surfaced or not
* Sink enemy ships with torpedoes or your deck gun
* More than 10 different ships to encounter like battleships, carriers, destroyers, cruisers, tankers, troop transporters, freighters, submarines
* Different kind of fleets, single targets, with and without escorts are being generated
* Three difficulty levels
* Different water quality settings depending on your hardware

FIX: replaced "secure from battlestations" sound with just "battlestations"
FIX: changed spelling of menue to menu
MOD: status screen has higher resolution
MOD: heading is shown relative to the submarine
MOD: new crew of submarine at bridge
MOD: font in detail map is better readable
MOD: loading/saving incredibly simplified
MOD: tripled shells damage
MOD: overall tonnage is now also shown during patrol
MOD: lowered range of ships spotting while in periscope depth
MOD: when submerged destroyers only start look for you when the first torpedo hit
NEW: medal awards
NEW: depth gauge plus periscope depth button
NEW: rudder and speed gauge
NEW: compass and engine telegraph

Personally I think this game is a diamond in the rough. A breakthrough for us Sub sim fans...While not perfect, Silent Depth has alot of potential. Thanks for the latest update, and all of your efforts to create a mobile sub sim game. Looking forward to the next update!

I waited a year for what will happen. What is simulated? View by periscope? It's still a simple shooting. I would also run well on the Silent Service 2 emulator and I would have the same thing except 3d graphics. You destroyed the cool effect of deep-sea bombs in favor of interior graphics 3d. But as you said - fast game only. The simulator is a simulator and your game is only shooter. Therefore, do not be surprised that you have little to collect. I have hope your next game be beter. More platform = no time to quality game... Sorry for my opinion.

Great game. Reminds me of "Silent Service" that I played in the 80's on an Atari 800, but much better graphics. Been playing it for 4 days almost straight. Sometimes a "Ship" shows quite far away in TBT (7000+) but is not on the map. Other times, a ship shows as listing & burning, nearby, but it isn't on the tac map, and no matter what you do, you can not sink it. The Addition of AA will be great. Also, does it matter where your gun fire hits the enemy? Other sub sims say to shoot close to the water line, to sink faster, but that doesn't seem to help here.
