Can that be changed?

As far as I know, there isn't a mod just for that, nor an easy way to fix it. You could use Notepad++, run a "Find in files" search in it, looking for "Length=", leaving "Replace with" blank, a filter of "*.cfg", and path of "D:\Game \Data \Sea, using "In all sub-folders", and get yourself some spreadsheet data to sort. Easier to do however, you could try ElCid97's Recognition Manual Overhaul - FotRSU-NM-NK Edition mod (for Nippon Maru & Nihon Kaigun), and see if that suits your needs for now. I have not run it, and cannot verify it functions correctly to all FotRSU expectations, but I'm sure someone else will let us know. The next FotRSU release has long had a solution to the issue, but we have run into developmental issues, and trying alternative fixes to a few issues discovered, so it might be a while before release yet...
