That's really good find kapuhy, thank you. I'm actually quite amazed how we could miss that aftwr all those years. I'm far away from my modding computer now but as soon as I get back home in two weeks or so, I'll test and fix this...

Good point, kapuhy. This situation exists probably in all the main three stock parts of the SH series, I do not remember how to deal with this in SH3, but in SH4 it definitely was. Radar units with separate models (for example, Mk37-director) they do not have sensordata in files, and as a result, destroyers do not have a radar function. The most surprising thing is that no one has fixed it for many years.

Well spotted kapuhy

I second vdr1981's incredulity in acknowledging that, after more than 10 years since SH5's release, no one had noticed such a bad blunder before you!

Probably devs wanted to set up 3D radar equipment, and they had planned to use a different bone suffix than 'R', but they had no time to implement the idea and finally they forgot to rename the bones with the regular radar equipment suffix...

Yes or in other words, I do not have any issue with SH5 with TWoS on Win10 20H2 Build 19042.661.

Default Checksum?

Would it be possible to include the MD5 / SHA256 in the description of the download? Not foolproof, but decent protection to check you've got a legit file. Thanks!

Ran into a weird crash.

Sunk a steam troopship.

The first CTD was when it was blowing up and seemed to be going down..

2nd CTD was when i checked the hydros to verify its sinking.

3rd is when i click the captains log to verify if it registered (each time my WEPS office did not say it was sinking)

Saved a bit later after hitting the troopship and didnt touch anything but my map hotkey and my dive icons. No CTD. But no registering the ship was hit. Clicked the captains log and CTD again.

Basically seems like it gets overwhelmed when trying to register it sunk a troopship in my patrol zone as the objective?

Any way around it? I sunk a troopship earlier in this save too so its a great start for me, really dont want to lose it.

::edit::

Looks like i lost that campaign unless i start over again. I saved when in contact with a ship so I am sure that was the problem.

::double edit::

I was a French ship apparently, Friendly. Ack!

Hello all. Was wondering if the current patrol date is displayed in SH3 Gray Wolves. Thanks

Hello mates:

I have this little graphic problem. I know there is a fix somewhere in the TWoS thread, but I can´t find it.

The antenna is down and moving...No way to restore it to the normal position.

TWoS 2.2.21, but I have the problem from 2.2.20, in my actual campaign with a VIIC.

Some solution for this?

Many thanks and regards.

Had exactly the same problem on my last patrol but the bunker technicians solved it out when I got back to port... Did you suffer any damage to your U-boat in that patrol?

I have some little damage in the hull, of that not solved in patrol and with eternal hammering....I have now a long way to Lorient (I´m going to my mission quadrant via Dakar, I will do some hunting and then I will return to base). Could be that?

Many thanks!

Default welcome aboard!

Nicobings! Nice Silent run since 2017! By 1944 running silent won't really cut it the allied sonics and sonar gear is pretty advanced. stay off silent running so u can still load eels at your great depth. stay at 2 knots to conserve batteries and maneuver judiciously against PC runs. Remember to keep up moral at all times: sing!!! and have Olaf prepare a 'special meal' and at (only) 200 meters!!??... "deeper Heinie deeper-they build 'em good in Hamburg!" U can still go a little deeper!!?? Watch The Enemy Below. Remember your having a better day than your Komrades at Stalingrad!
