Default Can someone recomend a case.

Looking into building a new machine, and I am looking for a mid tower case. I'm only a moderate gamer so it doesn't have to be great. So if anybody could recommend something that would be great.
I have been looking at this one; anybody ever used it before. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811129042

Looks like a good one. I have a Cool Master that is very sturdy and plenty of airflow. I see some expansion slots and that is always a good thing.

It will work - biggest plus besides price is the airflow. Since your not looking at building a rig that will also cook your eggs in the morning with the heat it makes - thats a good basic case. Be watchful on internal mountings - I have used this case before and its solid - but does lack some internal dampening features. The front airfilter needs to be cleaned regularly - and make sure you have the included fans pushing air OUT.

I was going to purchase the Antec Nine Hundred (1200 a bit too expensive) but I couldn't get one locally so I just got the Thermaltake V9, not bad design & looks ok, price was good but very flimsy, this seems to be the problem with most low end cases today!! I might save some more and get the 900 later!!

Not bad, a full tower would be great, certainly keep things a lot cooler! Is the side windowed, a little hard to tell?

That seems a good case. But beware with the PSU cables not being too short. Also, the PSU is one of the things that heats up more, so you'll need a good airflow if you dont want your graphics card and your CPU to breath all that warm air.

I use this for power :http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...371&CatId=2535

This for cooling :http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...9140&CatId=499

I don't plan on building another Rig for along time but, will always be a slave to upgrades. :p :rotfl:

I have no problems keeping the CPU cool, I use a noctua NH-U12P, most heat pipe coolers are excellent, the biggest problem is the video, I have an HIS IceQ HD4850 512mb card and even using Tray Tools setting the fan speed to 75% from 40c to 50c and 85% from 50c to 60c then 100% for anything higher still runs at around 42c on idle, then around 60c in game play, need a hurricane to cool the damned thing!

Yep, these new ATI cards are hot puppies.
Even with non reference coolers they output a lot of heat.
My old ATI 1950pro with a zalman cooler (overclocked card gpu and mem) in idle stays around 38-40 degrees, and under stress goes up to 50 degrees but most of the time less than that.
Until those kinds temperatures can be achieved with the new cards I'll pass and wait for a mid range card that consumes little and heats normally. Nothing of this 80-90 degrees craze.

I would recommend one of these: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...unami&x=6&y=30

I have one and it awesome, I would get the one with the fan on the side.
