The best aluminum cases are the old coolermaster ones, or the silverstones.
The lian-li are in my opinion one step under the best silverstones cases and old style classic atcs coolermaster ones.
Avoid at all costa the zalman aluminum cases, very costly and badly engineered.

Looks like my old case but silver.

Tooless case super light. Can keep your equipment very well ventilated if you setup the fans right.

Thats a sick case FW. I say its overkill for PC computers. Would it really make a difference? $800 case naw I don't think so...

Default Mid Tower?? Nah you want something bigger :)

Dude, put everything aside, I just purchased a Coolermaster CosmosS edition case from Notebookcity (www.notebookcity.co.nz) for little over $300 - and it's big enough and roomy enough to store as much as you want and the air circulation is awesome. Will be upgrading to a MSI x58 motherboard in about 2-3 months and even use the case for my DJ'ing (though not practical).

For looks and the 'wow' factor - you cant go past this case, though the new Black edition Cosmos is coming out

Try for a Gigabyte or Asus board if you can, much better than MSI, unless they have changed quality within the last year!!

My recomendations for a long-living case:
  • With two 5.25'' bays, you won't need more.
  • With about four 3.5'' bays, for the same reason. Unless you wanna make a RAID...
  • Floppy? Whats that? FLOPPY IS DEAD, SO NO ROOM FOR IT.
  • At least two case fans, one in the lower front and another in the mid back of the case, the front one with a good opening.
  • The PSU support on the upper back; the cases with the PSU in the bottom make the hot air generated by the PSU being sucked into the CPU and the Graphics card coolers.
