Default [WIP] WWI U-1 Control Room

hi, started this just for fun..i thought we could use this as a base
interior for the WWI Uboats in Wolves Of The Kaiser.
i already contacted iambecomelife and he liked the idea.

U-1 never went to war but was used as a school boat 1914-1916.

WOW !!! Your work is always incredible
How many interiors will you do ?
And btw, as I’m working on the sound mod for Wolves of the Kaiser and I saw in your older works there are some new sound, do you need any specific sound for your new work ?

I have to reiterate this is great work vickers03! Also, we are very lucky that U-1 itself still exists as a historical artifact - so many items and records dealing with both world wars were destroyed/scrapped. The interior has its own distinct "feel" different from at Type VII or Type IX interior - it reminds you of how primitive submersible tech used to be!!

yes! since i'm planning to animate the compressors and pumps
you see in the control room, which are driven by the electric motor
in the middle i would need some sounds for them

Oooh-oo-ooooh... noice, vickers03 ... I'll bet iambecomelife is dancing for joy about now, happy to not have to deal directly with the interiors! lol - single-hulled, and full of sweat, water dripping everywhere!

Thanks for the comments! And yes, this is definitely a big thing because, at present, full WWI interiors modeled by me are very much a "reach" goal for WOTK.

Current plans are to do additional interiors AFTER the main mod is released. All medium sized boats will have one interior based on the excellent UB-III photographs I'm sure you have all seen. Unrealistic, but I have ZERO interior pictures as reference for several classes. So UB-III will be used as a source for all boats...except the ones that can use the items Vickers is so generously helping with. I assume U-1 parts will be good stand-ins for the U-9 class especially - U-9 was old and obsolete even in 1914. The fact that U-9 sank 3 cruisers in a day nevertheless is truly extraordinary.

Some of the UB-III pix for newcomers:

that's a very ambitious project! for these interiors all you have
to do is model a bunch of pipes and put them everywhere
i couldn't find enough resources to model these interiors so
i decided to do the U-1, which is one of my favourite

Wouldn't mind a new torpedo impact sound, a better flames crackling sound, and maybe a new sound for about a 37-50mm gun. Also maybe an all male panic sound for warships. TY!

Outstanding! And I would love to know how you designed those wheels with the spiral handles - they look fiendishly hard to model!!
