Default SH5 and RAM disk

I'm happy to report that I tried to put whole Silent Hunter 5 with wolves of steel on a RAM disk. And speed wise it didn't mean squat. Same loading speed as from SSD M2 Nvme. One would thought that loading times would be much faster considering it runs directly from RAM. But no. Btw, i have 32 GB of DDR4 from what I created RAM disk of 11 GB for SH 5 that has cca 9.5 GB, so I had 17 GB of free RAM available for windows and running the game. Still didn't speed up the loading time. Well at least I tried.

Default

Think SH3 with GWX OneAlex lasts more time loading than TWoS....

Fast loading I see in a modded SH is SH3 NYGM FiFi version and SH4 FOTRSU.

Best regards.
