There's only one Tool to mass export 3D objects in a single pass and get the AO mapping with it.
That Tool is not yet released.

It still will not move all objects into their in Game position.
One needs to check the offsets of all Parent objects and add those settings to get the correct placement.

I think I have a program that makes this easy but I'll have to check.

I have finally spotted the offsets in S3D, thank you. I have assembled most of the Shinshu Maru pretty quickly now once I worked out which objects needed to be in the model to match the existing silhouette.

The game is afoot. First silhouette in progress with hopefully more to follow once I write down and streamline my workflow.

Good!

You would need to extract any Guns and such from their files also.
Then use the CFG whatever settings to help find exact placements.

I appreciate that this mod is considered mature but since it is such a fundamentally useful tool I would like to offer the following two feature requests for either it or any successor..

1. A checkbox in the settings to offer the choice of exporting an OBJ either at 0,0,0 (the default action) or inheriting its parent Node's offsets. I know Jeff has suggested this but when working on a large number of vessels this one thing causes the greatest time sink when reassembling the vessel in a modelling tool.

2. Font size. If the above exporting change cannot be made for technical reasons, the ability to increase the size of the font on high-dpi monitors would be very much appreciated and would help reduce eye strain. The main window of the application does not respect Windows 10 scaling guidelines so having to read x,y,z coordinates to three decimal places over and over in a tiny font is a strain. Whatever the default font, something that is about 20% larger would be a useful choice.

Many thanks for continuing to help with the tool.

send those suggestions to the publisher, skwas.
he built that tool on his own time and published to the community out of the kindness of his heart.

For the last 2 days I have been trying to install s3d editor with no luck.
I used it in the past but now that I have a pc with windows10-64Bitsa it's impossible.

Anyone who could drive me trough? Perhaps someone who is very familiar with this OS? I am struggling to catch up with win10...
A step-by step guide could be very useful...

These are the messages I get when I run the installer...

Thanks a lot in advance

You need .Net 2.0 installed on your computer.

Do you have DirectX v9.0c and its related codecs installed, from either an SH3 or 4 install?

Default Where can I download this now?

Sorry for an elementary question. I've Googled and hunted but can seem to find it. There are some fine adjustments I'd like to make to SH4, but I have no idea where to get my hands on S3D.

Any help would be appreciated! :Kaleun_Thumbs _Up:

Daniel! Thank you SO much! I can't believe the one place I DIDN'T look was the downloads section of the forum. Duh-doy.

One other question, if I may? I'm trying to adjust top speeds....a couple of the subs are a knot or two too fast, I think. But even when I got into data/submarine/(sub type) and adjust the config file, it's not reflected in the game.
Any insight on that?
