Default How Are People Exporting .j3d Files For 3D Models

Dangerous Waters uses .j3d files for its in game 3D models for objects (ships, missiles, torpedoes, etc.) which is now a very outdated format. In fact, the only method of creating .j3d files is with an addon for 3D Max v3.1 which is no longer being offered by autodesk. Seeing as how people are still making mods that add new objects into the game, someone has either the old version of 3D max or another software program that can export .j3d files. Can anyone provide the required software or point me in the right direction?

Only with 3dsMax 3.1 because j3d exporter is for that version of Max only. Viewing is possible in 3DConverter, but saving to another format only when you buy it. And then still there are some problems.
