A Boy And His Dog narrowly missed being rated X ("just because") which was why it didn't get a lot of screen time despite a pretty stellar cast.

For you fans of the FALLOUT franchise, welcome to where a LOT of it began.
This was Don Johnson's first, well, anything.
It takes place in the far-flung future of 2024.

ABAHD also pre-dated the Son Of Sam. Kinda spooky when you consider that the dog talks to him via telepathy and tells him what to do.

War of the Worlds

Storyline: The War of the Worlds (1953) H.G. Well's classic novel is brought to life in this tale of alien invasion. The residents of a small town in California are excited when a flaming meteor lands in the hills. Their joy is tempered somewhat when they discover that it has passengers who are not very friendly. The movie itself is understood better when you consider that it was made at the height of the Cold War--just replace Martian with Russian....

I last watched this film in the mid sixties so I would have been about 9 years old, I decided to watch it again to see how it still stacked up, some people would call this film a classic, not me though, it was full of religious clap trap from beginning to the end which let this film down badly, religion has never been my cup of tea and it's rating reflects that.
