Default Prop rev counters

G'day all,

After several years away from this glorious sub sim I'm back into the boat.

Just some questions regarding controls etc. Is there a way to view the revolution counters in the control room? I've got GWX and other mods running, and in some documentation about escort evasion it said to keep your revs below 50rpm for true silent running.
I can see the dials for that in the FF2 command room view but can't get close to view the reading.
Secondly, if I can get close, like other dials on the boot (depth etc) can I input changes in revs through the dials themselves?

You can choose the "free walk" in the control room, with a shortcut. I don't remember what shortcut it was, something like Alt (or Alt Gr) + F2 or F8... try different things yourself. But not Alt + F4 of course... Also, it might be written in the shortcuts list that you can access in game by hitting F1.

And yes, you can select the revolution speed by clicking on the dial.

Shortcut is
'Shift F2" as for 50 RPM, clicking on the telegraph should open the speed indicator, where clicking on it while watching the RPM gauge should give you the result you seek. In GWX and OneAlex its just under one knot.

It's been a while for me and GWX3 but if my mind serves me right. Right click on the Chief Engineer's icon while in the control room, then you can zoom in on your engine's RPM Gagues (and other gagues) with the "up arrow". Selecting 1kt will give you somewhere around 50 RPMs, plus os minus a few RPMs but you'll be quiet enough and still make your getaway, slowly but shorely.
