Default Just Bought SH2

Howdy Y'all

Please excuse me as this is only my second posting here. I just purchased SH2 for my laptop. Im curious as to wether or not it will run on XP? IF not, is there a patch that I will need to get to make it do so. I am really into naval sims and play the heck out of them. I didnt know that there was such a big interest in them.

I recently got SH2 too. I have XP Media Center Addition on my machine and the game worked fine without the patch. Of course other machines may react differently. Like when I tried running DC on my father's newer machine and the graphics were all screwed up. So far I've been very lucky that nearly all of the games I have wanted to try have worked without a problem on my current machine.

By all means get the "Project Schwertfish" sound add on pack, makes for a completely new game.
There are numerous mods to enjoy (check out SH2 mods in the forum), but by all means learn to do manual TDC- it's easy once mastered and takes only seconds for a setup (I'm shooting about 40 percent accuracy).

You may also wish to be part of a virtual campaign such as 'Atlantik Campaign' http://home.wi.rr.com/subpac/ac/ac_2_1.html or 'Raiders of the Deep' (see below sig) both who cater for SH2 missions etc.
