Yeah, now you can cram some firecrackers in it, put it on the lake, light the fuse, let it go, and give it a proper U-boot sendoff! Full realism!

Post the video for us, please.

LOL

There is also a 1:72 VII from Revell.... but I think mod it to radio control will be a little tricky (space for batteries a.s.o.)

But it will be look nice to see both on the pond

Nicely done!

Just so you know, though, she was Canadian - HMCS, not USS.

Whoops!

Correct Steve!

The model came in three variants you can choose when build, I think it was two US and the Snowberry is Canadian, indeed!

The Flowers were really a good idea, derived from whaling boats (?) or so i think. In the early war when they did not have radar, the U-boats would outrun them when they spotted them, since the top speed of the Flowers was something around 16 knots maximum.
Later in the war they became a real terror .. especially against submerged boats.

Very nice model, thanks for sharing !

Cool kit -- might have to pick one up. But seeing as how it is a Flower-Class Corvette...it ought to have a flower name; and the prefix HMS!

Like HMS Compass Rose...

Please keep us informed with the progress! I'd love to see some completed pictures of it in its natural element!

Looks like that there is an old diesel-electric propelling her. Or maybe just an electric.
