Default Trying to un-install SHIII

I was helping a friend with SHIII Installed. He went to un-install SHIII in the FEATURES and PROGRAMS (CONTROL PANEL). He reported that afterwards the normally red SHIII icon turned gray, and the game is stilled installed (outside Program Files) in a folder he named UBISOFT. Here's a few things worth sharing
1. Windows 10
2. There are another Icons in the FEATURES and PROGRAMS called UBISOFT
GAME LAUNCHER, UBISOFT CONNECT and SH5.
3. From a screen shot of the contents inside his SHIII Game Folder, it doesn't
appear that all the contents are still there, but the still SHIII.exe is. He
does claims that SHIII still starts.
I'm at a loss as to help him any farther in the un-installation. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. I've never seen this before on my machines. Thanx

update: I just noticed that this might be a STEAM Game. I have no knowledge of the STEAM workings. I did send him a PM, asking if him version of SHIII was from STEAM. Haven't heard back yet.

Have them, right click on it in that section "Programs & Features", in the control panel. This should open up a sub menu that will read "uninstall".

Go through with that & afterwards, it should be cleared out there.

After that, if they have CCleaner, have them run a scan & delete... followed by a run of the registry cleaner included with CCleaner. After running that... they'll need to select fix all issues & chose to not back it up.

This should, when all that is done... have all remnants & traces of the install... wiped out, & they can then do a fresh install... if they want to do so.

Hope this helps.
