Frontal air intake of a Mercedes Benz racing car, one of the legendary "Silberpfeile" (silver arrows) of the 1950s. I'd guess a W 196.

I'd be surprised if so, ten were built.

Produced from: 1954 - 1955 ; Numbers built: 10 (4 Streamliners) ; Internal name: W196 ;

Congratulation-You got it

Here some link to this racing car

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mercedes-Benz_W196

https://www.mercedesamgf1.com/en/her...6-r-1954-1955/

The picture I used was from a 1/8 scale model of this car.

Yes there was produced 10 but none of them was build to drive on ordinary roads.
Each of them was produced for one thing--Formula 1

You asked if the car was a mass production.

Edit
I toke information about the car from this model side
https://www.agoramodels.com/1955-mercedes-w196/

And here it gives the impression that only one car was build
I should have made further search on the car.

End edit

That had me confused as well, but the air intake is quite distinctive.
Anyway, here is a new one:

What EXACTLY is being built in this picture?

(I'll try to ask wrong question hereafter)

the building in the picture is part of a Battleship.

Quite, and a little too ambiguous in my estimation.

On your question above....A US warship.

The Pennsylvania?

Not a battleship (neither US nor any other nation's), so not the Pennsylvania, either.
