Default Give it to me straight.

I kept reading all the horror stories if the game will even start without screwing with it.

I have read them here and on steam reviews.

I have this on CD still but would rather have the steam version just easier and it is on sale again.

I just logged into Steam, and it's not available for purchase here.

Had it on CD, but my UBI account somehow dropped it. Got another key issued by UBI, which worked OK.

Beautiful graphics, and walking the sub is a nice touch. Was pretty good with mods last time I played, but I started getting too many CTD's and then the issues with the UBI launcher..........

I always end up going back to 3, and am just waiting on the GWX KC edition now.
(I just hope they fixed the destroyers jumping to instantaneous lightspeed when they see your torpedo wake.)

EDIT

I can't help myself............... I've got a new laptop, so have just downloaded the Ubi launcher, TWOS, and am just waiting on SH5 to finish downloading to give it another go.

I go back to SS 1.

You like 3 the best?

So far I have 3 and 4 currently playing 4.

Still have a game going in 3 and I think I like 3 better as well.

I have over 250K sank in 4 @ 73% realism, maxed out on officers and petty officers.

Thinking STONGLY of going back to 3.

Never had the privilege of playing #1.

Finished downloading 4GB of SH5, installed, ran…….. not good.
Intro ran in a window then disappeared, but couldn’t interact. Nothing showing in task bar, or task manager. Alt-Tab wouldn’t bring up anything.
Closing the Ubi launcher warns me that the game is still running, but I can’t find it anywhere.

Downloaded 2gigs of TWOS, ran the installer. Screwed the .exe and now won’t start.

Wiped the lot, so I might try again later.

you need to disregard Uplay and download and use Uconnect.
review some of the first few threads of the SH5 forum for more experiential wisdom on playing SH5.

Yeah, was using Uconnect.

I think it might be a resolution issue, as it’s had problems with other games too.
