Someone over at ArmchairGeneral forums did mention something

Somehow I'm not conviced Some of the textrures and the interface doesn't really look up to date. The time period on the other hand is interresting. I wonder does it use SHIII engine or is it a new one ?

here's an typically awfull babel fish translation of the scecond part of the info--but it's still interesting---especailly the info regarding the aircraft zeppellins etc--and the "interior life" hint--which was what i was wondering about as they havent shown the sub interior as yet--but it sounds like and looks like from the deck gun crew screenie etc that they may follow SH3's lead and have some sort of 3D modelling for the interior and crew---

rondomedia "1914 dip - bowls of the anger" into the late summer under with the submarine simulation Moenchengladbach in May 2006 - the Moenchengladbacher software publishing house rondomedia brings this yearly a PC submarine simulation in the Midprice segment in September on the market. The Game will carry the title "1914 - bowls of the anger" * and to the recommended selling price of? 29,99 to be brought out. "1914 - The flat anger "covers temporally the complete 1. World war, thus the years from 1914 to 1918, off. This time interval was treated so far by still no other submarine simulation for the PC. Also the player from "German view" acts - a feature, which is likewise in this category the exception. Most u-boat-Simulationen shows the scenery from view of the opponents at that time. Was developed the Game of the Duesseldorfer h2f of information systems GmbH, which bring along already more than 10 years experience in the conception and implementation of digital solutions. With large love the detail and greatest possible authenticity became before the historical background of the 1. World war an abundance of campaigns with according to numerous missions arranges. Classical elements, which may not be missing in such a simulation, like - beside the submarines - for example trading vessels, airplanes or zeppeline, in addition, the interior life of the different submarine models are historically founded investigate and original-faithfully designt. rondomedia release of "1914 becomes - bowls of the anger" by a broad marketing campaign to accompany. Detail for this still admits given. * "bowls of the anger": The British statesman Sir Winston Churchilll has the term "bowls of the anger" in his book as heading of a passage over the 1. World war used. For the book he received the Nobelpreis for literature in the year 1953 (http://www.nobelpreis.org/Literatur/churchill.htm). Originally the term comes of however to the Bible, "revealing the Johannes".

not sure about the bowls of anger thing ...can't be right

i hope they finish it---cos if it has anything even remotely like a free roaming dynamic campaign-- even if it is limited to the areas it mentions- as long as it is not concretely mission based with the "take me to the action/patrol zone" method --i'm hooked allready--hope it's moddable--the graphics are fine ...plenty of atmosphere--and you don't need the latest gimmicks to create decent atmosphere--it's the gameplay that makes the thing worth playing--or not as the case may be--

Remember this will be kind of a low budget game. The company simply does not have the resources like for instance UBIsoft has.

The game will not use the SHIII engine.

The English name Rondomedia uses is "Shells of Fury", as one can read in the subject header of this thread.
