Based on this chart, Russia is quickly losing its market share of EU natural gas imports.

Then you understand yesterday's meeting between Putin and Erdoğan

Putin suggests turning Turkey into gas hub for Europe Russian President says the proposed gas hub in Turkey for Europe could help regulate “exorbitant" prices. Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday doubled down on his proposal to turn Turkey into a gas hub for Europe after deliveries to Germany through the Baltic Sea's Nord Stream pipeline were halted. Putin floated the idea of exporting more gas through the Turk Stream gas pipeline running beneath the Black Sea to Turkey as he met with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on the sidelines of a regional summit in Kazakhstan.

It’s the second unlikely energy proposal that Putin has pitched in as many days, with European leaders calling Russia’s cuts in natural gas a political bid to divide them over their support for Ukraine. It’s created an energy crisis heading into winter that has fuelled inflation, forced some industries to cut production and sent home utility bills soaring. A day earlier, Germany rejected Putin’s proposal to step up gas flows to Europe via a link of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline under the Baltic Sea – a pipeline that has never been operational – despite Moscow cutting off the parallel Nord Stream 1 over what it claimed were technical problems.

The Russian leader first voiced the proposal on Wednesday, saying that Russia could increase the volume of its gas exports to Turkey through the Black Sea pipeline, turning the country into a hub for gas supplies to Europe. “We could ... make the main routes for the supply of our fuel, our natural gas to Europe through Turkey, creating in Turkey the largest gas hub for Europe - if, of course, our partners are interested in it,” Putin told a Moscow energy forum.

On Thursday, he said the hub could help regulate “exorbitant" prices. “We could easily regulate (prices) at a normal market level, without any political overtones,” Putin said. Erdogan did not comment publicly on the proposal but Putin’s spokesman, Dimitry Peskov said that Turkey has reacted positively to the idea. Officials from Erdogan’s office could not immediately be reached for comment.

Turkey’s state-run news agency however, quoted Turkish Energy Minister Fatih Donmez as saying on Wednesday that it was “too early to assess” the proposal. “Technically it is possible,” Anadolu Agency quoted Donmez as telling reporters at the same Moscow energy forum. “For such international projects, technical, commercial and legal evaluation and feasibility studies need to be conducted.” The Turk Stream, which has two lines with a total capacity of 31.5 billion cubic meters per year, was inaugurated in 2020.

NATO-member Turkey, which is depending on Russian gas and tourism, has criticized Moscow’s actions in Ukraine but has not joined U.S. and European sanctions against Russia. It has maintained its close ties with both Moscow and Kyiv and positioning itself as a mediator between the two. Ankara recently helped broker key deals that allowed Ukrainian to resume grain exports and led to a prisoner swap between Ukraine and Russia. Although Russia is still conveying gas to Europe via Ukraine, the amount it's has plummeted drastically with the two Baltic pipelines out of commission. https://www.middle-east-online.com/e...gas-hub-europe

No word on Ukraine, but he is backing down making concessions still not enough but see Putin tries to solve this and save himself let him sweat a couple of months Ukraine offenses, our support and sanctions are working

Strategic initiative is in our hands, so main thing is not to stop, - Zaluzhny

The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny had a telephone conversation with the Supreme Commander of the Joint NATO Forces in Europe and the Commander of the US Armed Forces in Europe, General Christopher Cavoli.

As Censor.NET informs about this with a link to the Facebook page of the Chief of the Armed Forces.

"They discussed the operational situation and plans for further actions of the Defense Forces of Ukraine, as well as existing and potential threats from the terrorist state of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus.

The strategic initiative is in our hands, so the main thing is not to stop," said Zaluzhny's post.

It is noted that the priorities of the Armed Forces remain the support of dialogue and a high level of military cooperation with partner countries, as well as the acquisition of interoperability with their armed forces. Source: https://censor.net/en/n3373832

After Ukrainian diplomat Andrij Melnyk - former amabassador to Germany - reacted to Elon Musk's peace plan regarding the war in Ukraine with a "**** off" on Twitter, Musk's decision to at least no longer donate his Starlink system Internet to Ukraine can probably be understood as a direct reaction.

In response to a tweet addressing the chronological order of Melnyk's harsh words and Musk's decision, the billionaire entrepreneur replied, "We're just following his orders."

Two FSB and Wagner PMC officers ask for asylum in France and testify, reports Gulagu.net

https://www.gulagu.net/

https://theins.ru/en/news/256042

A Wagner PMC employee and an FSB officer have requested political asylum in France, Vladimir Osechkin, head of the Gulagu.net media project, told The Insider. According to Osechkin, the two are now giving testimonies to help the international investigation into Russia's war crimes. Their testimony details the corruption schemes in Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB), as well as the history of the establishment of the Wagner Private Military Company as a «branch» of the GRU (Russia’s military intelligence service – Translator’s note), said Osechkin. According to him, several members of Russia’s special services have already been able to leave Russia in recent months and seek asylum abroad. They are also testifying.

Russian President Vladimir Putin has said there is no need for more massive strikes on Ukraine, days after the heaviest bombardment of the country since the war began.

He said most designated targets of the strikes had been hit, adding that it was not his aim to destroy Ukraine.

This clearly show the impotency of the Russian army on all fronts

Russia is giving soldiers Viagra to rape Ukrainians: UN official
A UN official claimed Russia is using rape as its “military strategy” in Ukraine — providing soldiers with drugs to sexually assault civilians.

“When you hear women testify about Russian soldiers equipped with Viagra, it’s clearly a military strategy,” Pramila Patten, UN special representative on sexual violence in conflict, told the AFP.

Patten added that the UN has verified “more than a hundred cases” of rape or sexual assault since the invasion began in February. Victims have largely included girls and women, but boys and men have been raped, too.

In September, the head of the organization’s Independent International Commission of Inquiry into Ukraine wrote that Russian forces were committing war crimes against civilians, including rape, torture and unlawful confinement. The commission head noted that victims of sexual and gender-based violence ranged from four to 82, and in some cases, family members have been forced to watch the acts. “Reported cases are only the tip of the iceberg,” Patten told the AFP, but added that it is difficult to maintain accurate statistics during an active violent conflict. “The numbers will never reflect reality, because sexual violence is a silent crime.”

If it is so easy, why did it need Musk to step forward with his offer back then? And what other company can produce and launch such satellites by the dozens in short time?

None.

Lets face it, Ukraine owes to the man. Heavily. And needs him still.

BTW, it was a Space X capsule that brought back astronauts from the ISS today. Not NASA or ESA.

Thge article says, btw, that he had asked the Pentagon for payment of the mission already before the angry exhnchages started on twitter. His snappy return iposted earlier thus was probably just a comment due to the opportunity to make an ironic scoring point.

No, I still dont trust him blindly. I only try to see it from every angle available.
