Default SHCE

I setup an older computer that will play my older sims.
I have SHCE running fine but I cannot remember how to do Photo Op missions or pick-up downed pilots.
Anyone out there remember how to do these and would you please share?

Photo missions have to be completed in the daytime, you have to be close enough to see the marker in the scope. Then hit the TAB key to take a photo. A red "T" on the chart marks where the mission needs to be done. You can finish the mission through the periscope or the Bridge TBT.

Rescue missions mean getting within a couple of hundred yards of the downed pilot's raft. Next you hit the "E" key to rescue him, your final approach speed should be under 5 kts. The pilot shows up on one of the charts as a blue triangle.

Default Thank you

Chris,

I really appreciate the info. I could not recall how to do either of these and I could not find it in my stuff. I still like SH!. I have SH4 but this old game is still fun.

Have a good day,

I've got stuff for SH and SHCE that goes back to SubSim's EzBoard days! Most of it was saved off the old forums when they closed. If you want I can email it to you.

So, Ron, you finally got it?

Well, better late than never. I am using DOSBOX. This year I've also been playing SH3 and SH4.

Take care.

Default Using an older computer.

Hi Mark;
I don't know what took me so long to think of it. I had a computer with everything I needed, it has Windows ME which ran the older sims just fine. The only two I can't get to run is Fast Attack and Fighting Steel, and I don't really have time for them.
I do have SH4 and I am learning it, great graphics and they have been patching it a lot.
How are you feeling, how is business going.
I had a very productive hunting season, I got a 6X6 Elk, quite large and I saved the rack. Got a nice buffalo over in Montana and so I have plenty of meat.
I had a major chimney fire, luckily it did not damage my house, the insurance is replacing my fire place insert and My chimney liner. It was really scary.

Take care,

Ron

Facing lifes little and big challenges that seem to keep blind siding me.

Otherwise, I patrol when I get a chance. I run everything on one system, but I run AOD and SHCE on 20" CRT (better clarity) and, SH3 and SH4 on a 21" LCD.

Glad the fire that no one was hurt. You be careful! Take care.
