Marty Robbins has got to be one of my favorite singers/songwriters. God gave Marty all the talent that he had saved for the year 1925. I don't think there are any modern country-western artists who wrote nearly all their own music and have such an incredible voice.

Shonen Knife had a pretty good following here in Los Angeles; your posting reminded me of another JBand a bit older than Shonen; The Sadistic Mika Band (a great name) was also very much followed in California and other areas of the US; I know of a lot of musicians here in LA who were blown way by the the talents and abilities of the band; they played across genres and excelled at all of them...

...here is the band on The Old Grey Whistle Test in 1975 showing off some shockingly great Jazz/Funk skills...

...apparently, those guys could play anything and everything...

@ vienna, good to see you back and posting.
Janitor Joe had the right idea...there's gotta be a better place "out there".

I'm fickle...I like the "record covers/sleeves/cover art" or whatever they call them nowadays.

The motorcycles featured in the movies were built by Ben Hardy, a prominent chopper-builder in Los Angeles and Clifford Vaughs with some cues from Peter Fonda.

This is just some fun trivia.

The Captain America and Billy Bike motorcycle replica's that were built by the guys I knew were more up to date. Unlike the original Motorcycles, the replica's had safety features like front disc brakes and in the rear as well. They also featured modern power plants with in some cases, fuel injection. The original engines in the two movie bikes look like " Panhead " Harley engines in which the production run was from 1948 to 1965. The engines were problematic with leaking oil during it's production run. The guys I knew built original replica bikes as well although, they look like they would be uncomfortable to ride long distances.

From the archives. Van Halen-live. Circa 1995. Poundcake.

The guys all look like they are having a great time playing.
