TAGES activation
After replacing my old HDD with a new SSD and reinstallation, I try to activate (via TAGES) the SILENT HUNTER 4 GOLD edition, requesting activation code after giving the serial number and while communicating with the server I get the message “Unexpected error (6)”.
Then I try to get the file with the activation code via HTTP (sh4-@ctiv.htm) then I click on “Send Request Code” and I get the message that the page isn’t working. What’s going on here? I bought the game from “gamesrocket” in 2014. |

I don't even know what Tages is, I'd just buy the steam version from steam and be on my way.

TAGES is an activation procedure and has to do with DRM. Why buy it again? I bought it once from gamesrocket.com , I'm a legitimate owner and I believe that I've the right to play every time I want. |

Well I wish you luck. no hard feelings. I've bought a few games just out of convenience that I already owned. Just a suggestion.

It's not a matter of money my friend. It's just the sense of unfairness that I've legally purchased a game and I cannot play because of a ridiculous activation system. |

You need someone to give you the base files with no TAGES security crap.
The SH4.exe and probably a dll or 2.

Trust me I know the feeling every time microsoft makes one of the thousands of games I bought in my lifetime unplayable. Steam itself is going to piss me off shortly when they force me to upgrade to win 10 and then win 11 shortly after to use the library of games I bought. That's life. Planned obsolescence I believe is the phrase.
