I still haven't managed to open the more complex objects in Wings3d. If I have the time I will try to learn how to use another program that can open your files but for now I will use the battleship parts I have built myself. It's a real shame because your American BB's looked great.

I had to redo one of my merchant ships after Windows update automatically restarted my computer before I could save it.

However, I'm just about through (see below).

Work on the merchant shipping is going really well. Tomorrow there will be screenshots of even more cargo ships; all the models more detailed than those that were used in the Merchant Fleet Mod betas. With the merchant fleet mod I focused on having a very wide variety of different models. Now my focus is on a small number of basic ship sizes (1,500 GRT, 3,500 GRT, 5,000 GRT, 10,000 GRT) with several different cranes, bridges, lifeboats, stacks, & other features. And if you're the kind of sadistic captain who loves blowing apart crates, blasting deck furniture, etc with the gun, eat your heart out.

Tomorrow I hope to refocus efforts on the U-Boats themselves and the crewmen. I just realized that a very simple way to alter the crew uniforms had been staring me in the face all along. Will give it a try & post the results!

Wireframe view showing some variants of an eight-derrick merchantman.

I am negotiating with USS Sea Tiger & some other modelers for use of their work, including submarines, vehicles, & aircraft. Look for some more sub updates in the near future.

I'm sorry that my parts weren't more usefull... i had hoped you'd be able to get more use out of them...... the merchant ships are looking great though... excellent work there !

Except that it's not a crusier. It's looks more like the A-H BB Viterbus Unities.

That's right - it's the dreadnought Szent Istvan. One of my favorite WWI battleships.

And excellent submarine, Dagon.

Yes that was a lovely full dreadnought. The Austro Hungarian Navy and fleet were a very interesting subject for study and they did the very best they could considering that the Allies were so close to their ports, that region had some very interesting battles and events.

I finished some models of an engines - aft freighter:

Right now I'm negotiating with the BF 1918 modders for some aircraft & zeppelins in exchange for battleships & cruisers.

I spent some time on crewmembers' clothes. If anyone has good closeups of Imperial German Navy enlisted man's hats I'd appreciate a look. Also, I've been looking for photos of semi-casual wear. Plain white shirts seem to have been common, but I would like a little more variety.

What do you think this is, the National Football League? Don't forget to ask for a future draft pick or two!

Thanks!

Another thing I forgot to ask is if anybody knows the exact script used for the "Kaiserliche Marine" lettering printed on sailors' hats. If it's not available, a similar script would do fine. If there's an adobe photoshop plugin with suitable, "Germanic" looking text that would be terrific.

I made some progress with crew figures. Unfortunately it's exam time, so no more updates until around Christmas break!
