radar Fire & Steel

World War Two. The thunderous cacophony of man's fighting awakens an ancient horror.

If you play a lot of World War Two games, but feel that you've never really found the perfect title, perhaps Fire & Steel is what you've sought.

Fight against all sides as a fire-breathing dragon, awakened from its long slumber by the war.

Fire & Steel

Fire & Steel on Steam

The ships, aircraft, and military gear, and the environment all seem to be well modeled. The reviews are great on Steam.

And it's $5.99 USD. Can you even get a cup of coffee for that anymore? I just bought it. I'll let you all know what I think. People sure seem to like it.

Just thought I'd mention it.

That does sound like a fun game.

I hope you will post a review soon.

It's not bad, for the price. The graphics are decent. As for gameplay, it's a bit repetitive. Aim and left click, breathe fire on the target. Right click, hurl an explosive fireball.

You face waves of aircraft, ships, PT boats, and other military hardware, all decently modeled and textured, plus armed soldiers scattered around, whom you can hear screaming as you incinerate them, LOL!

Wipe out all the soldiers and hardware and it's on to the next level, which will present you with new or variant hardware.

It's fun if you just want to relax and not have to think much. Pleasant environments and military gear. You can get some pretty funny screenshots in-game. But nobody is ever going to accuse it of being a competitor to, "Command: Modern Operations" or, "Wargame: Red Dragon".

It's just tongue-in-cheek fun. There are no sides, you just fly around the level map and flame broil anyone that you catch waging war. Watch out, they shoot back and will definitely kill you if you don't dodge their fire and light them up.

For the price, it's fun. Not a very big download. If you've got five bucks to spare, you'd probably get a kick out of it.
