Ahmen to that.

In Spain an idiot got caught today walking with a puppet dog to be able to get out of home

I was at the supermarket today, the employees there all smiles and helpful, keeping people apart and letting only one into the shop once another payed and was out. They will be doing their 8 hour shifts while so many people go by to get their supplies, only God knows how many with the virus. Those employees are also heroes to my eyes, we should be grateful to them as we are to the health care people. THANKS.

@ Catfish.

I know or have been told that Aeroskoebing is some UN-list And I can't find it.

@ Skybird.

I have shopped the most important thing for the next couple of weeks. There will still be a few things I need to buy and this will be bought in my little grocery store located about 50 meters from where I live.

Habits.

Yes people are nice to keep distance to each other......until habits takes over.

After my visit to the local grill and do some extra shopping(had forgot something from last time I was shopping some days ago) I stood and waited for the bus.
Bus arrived and people stayed in the seats...until the first got up..well about 30 sec. later 3-4 people stood very very close to each other waiting for the door to open.
Habits is hard to come by.

Mapuc,

the essnetial need smust be served, niobody denies that. But one can waste time wehile doing it, or follow the milizary tatcic of fat in - fast out. No coffee sipping at the baker. Nio visit in the pub.

And nothing would get me into a bus or train currently. I use bicycles even in heavy rain, and routes avoiding the inner city and town, but lead througg the green and free areas aroundf the city. I avoid humans more than usual. Not too difficult for me, because that is my habit.

Not since WWII have a Danish King or Queen held a extra speech to the Danish citizens. Their annual speech is on New Years eve.
So today speech was out of the extraordinary.

For once i wish I had an education or was an expert on vira or bacteria.

Then I could with power in my words and writing say:

It's not enough to keep distance and wash your hands...this virus is also spreading indirectly

´cause more and more I read about this virus on science pages, tell me this.

I will not stay inside all day long during my non-elected vacation-If my work place is closing until end of March.

I will if weather approve it-work in my garden-preparing for spring.

I will not meet other people. Only I'm going to see is those in cars who drive by and those who enter or leave our grocery store.(50 meters away)

Well I am sick of these bastards panic buying and I have reached the end of the line with these bastards, today I was up my town centre popped into a supermarket and it was stripped of almost all the food! You selfish bastards the lot of you..............

Oh and you the supermarkets let it happen just to make fast profit you greedy pigs and now you can not keep up with demand your staff are getting verbal abuse. Not from me as my anger is at you pigs in the board rooms rubbing your grubby little mitts.

What I am thinking can not be posted unless I get permission because I really had it up to here with these panic buying bastards the lot of you.

^ it is them who cause a panic, and it is not worth a sh... . Stores plan their stock to sell a few weeks ahead, and it certainly takes time to adapt. There is no shortage of goods, right now it is those panicking hoarders who cause all the fuss

You must be down to your last roll. What do you mean, a fast profit? Did you ask when their shipments come in? Have you tried more than one shop?

Did some shopping today which I mentioned before.

And I noticed the wall, where they have all the toilet and kitchen paper, was filled up..almost up to the ceiling.

Just in case I bought a package toilet paper(and ONLY one).

Clearly supermarkets had time to react to the situation back in late Jan into Feb and could have bought in measures to prevent or slow this madness down. And yes I have visited other supermarkets and small shops and the story is the same in all of them, shelf's stripped clean.

No toilet paper no towel paper no soap no liquid soap no tin food, oh I noticed biscuits are now almost sold out as well. Frozen food is doing a little better but I suspect that will be targeted soon. Oh bread is all sold out but that is one product I gave up eating months ago to improve my digestive health and yes feel better for that move. Beer is or so being hit and fresh fruit and veg.

We are getting a new problem iover here: the farmers need tens of thousands of seasonal workers. In Germany, they practically all come from abroad.

Well, maybe not this year. And then we can get shortages for sure, on certain seasonal field fruits.

What they also do not say is that while many things of daily consummation are being produced in germany so that they say we have enough and produce at max, they hide those product groups where we need imported ressources to produce by.

Lets hide it, we do not know how supply situation really is. A government will never step before the people and say "Eh, btw next week we will be running out of this and that, so you better get your share until weekend before its out." When the warehouses are full the government will say "We have enough for everybody", and when the warehouses are empty the govenrment will say "We have enough for evervbody." Which makes the governments statments on things like this completely unpredictable and thus: worthless. We will never know whether they say the truth or not.

I noticed yesterday that the shelves are emptying, which probbaly still is due to logistics, not to shortages. But the symptom spreads, where as in the week before it was just an occasional curiosity to note: oo paper and pasta was out from beginning on, but now it includes milk products, eggs, cans, wheat, even fresh vegetable. They refill it, but the gaps become more frequent and they stay for longer time.

I stick to my years-long-proven method: I take away from the front of my shelf of reserves, and reload what has been taken immediately and fill it in at the back of the shelve. Durigng the unfolding of the story in past ten days or so, I just filled and corrected some irregularities, and so durign the hoartding phase of the crowds bought maybe 10-20% more during some shopping tours than I usually do.

Thats the thing about preparation. You prepare before TSHTF. You reload immediately after the storm is over. You stay loaded all the time between two storms. You never consume your reserves, saying: there will be no next storm. Money is no real excuse, because I started that already 17 years ago, when I was low on money. I added slowly to my heap of reserves. Later, getting into a more comfprtable posotion, I added more. Thats how it is done: notorious small contributions in the times between the storms, keeping and maintainign your reserves, never consuming them, but replenishing them.
