Hydra - disable all the mods in jsgme.

Run the game - see if you get the lockup.

If not - install JUST RFB 1.52 (NO PATCH)

Test again. If no lockup -

Install the 1.52 patch -

Test again - If still no lockup,

Next add RSRFB - then test again.

One of these steps will either recreate the problem - meaning the last mod added is the problem - or it will happen stock - or it wont reoccur. Either way - you at least have an idea on how to start fixing the problem once you identify it.

I have been conducting some test today trying to recreate your problem. I using the info you provide and conducted approximately 15 different test runs . No problems noted.

I have but one further suggestion, go to

C:\Documents and Settings\XXXXX\My Documents\SH4\data\cfg\

and remove the following to directories

RichSavedGames & SaveGames

then try to see if your SH4 will run correctly

Interesting problem Hydra..

Do you have any radio mods in your install? A missing radio file will cause a crash particularly at the exact same time and day every time. I know you said you've tried multiple start dates with multiple careers and the game crashes every time, but does it crash at the same time with the same start date?

Haplo, I can run RFB and the patch with no problems. Have been doing so for several weeks - alone and with mods. It's when I add RSRDC that I get the problem.

Lurker, I tried your suggestion but I still have the problem.

Orion2012 (Date of disaster?) I have radio mods that work fine with RFB. Besides, I checked the events with StationManager and they are all ok.

I'm going to try several different things: Check my graphics card driver (Nvidia), re-download the RSRDC mod, and try SH4 v1.5 stock with the appropriate RSRDC download. Will let you know what happens. Thanks guys!

Eureka! I deleted the RSRDC mod for RFB, downloaded it again, and it works

Must have had a corrupted download. Should have thought about this much sooner

The very first post of this thread is where I downloaded the files I needed.

If there are updates are they automatically updated on the lead post of this thread? Or is/are they buried deep within this thread some place?

Additionally: Will I be required to delete all saved games and start a fresh new campaign for this to work?

I Just downloaded the two files again and it did a CTD on me again.

I am sort of thinking it's going to need a brand new campaign started to run it?

Yes. The 1st post is updated.

Yes, you MUST start a new campaign. This mod changes, well, everything. Any old campaign will certainly CTD you every time.

That must be in the readme, too. It's quite long.

Recently got SH4 and installed RSRD. Started a new career and the second patrol was to the Aleutians. Patrol Kiska, patrol Attu and refuel at Dutch harbor. I see posts about this patrol so I'm sure quite a few others have done it.

Completed the Attu and Kiska orders, sank the AK that comes to resupply Kiska, then sailed to Dutch Harbor to refuel. But when I get to the harbor I do not get any refit or refuel option. I even put it in a slip and waited for a day.

Is there any requirement to getting the refuel/refit option. I have 3/4 of a tank of diesel. I can make it back to Midway, but I was hoping after refueling I might get new orders.

Nevermind, I found the icon at the upper right that brings up the refit option. I thought it would pop up as I approached base like it does when ending a patrol.
