Can not be so modified。These documents do not need to know what the weather reflected what the weather does not require refraction。

Default Waves foam inside sub's side openings

It often looks as if the U-Boat's hull is completely hollow behind the side openings, and the water waves & foam fill the inside of the boat (crew compartment, engine room etc.) behind the side holes. Sometimes it seems almost that you see through the boat and see the water/foam on the opposite side, depending on the viewing angle.

Can that be changed so that these side openings remain black/dark grey instead of "transparent"? Then the boat would not give that occasional "hollow" impression.

It is intended to be like that, check out some u-boot design to see how are they built. The boat has a cylinder shape and thats only the hull that cover it and let the crew to walk on the boat surface.

Here are a couple links to images that might help understand why it looks hollow in there.

U-Boot design plans show the construction comprises, amongst other things, the outer hull (with those visible side holes) and the inner pressure hull, housing all the different compartments. Between the top of the pressure hull and the outer hull there is plenty equipment (torpedo loading hatch, torpedo stowing tubes, anchor windlass, air induction channel, marker buoys etc.) preventing through visibility through the outer hull side holes. This probably illustrates what I mean: http://www.uboatarchive.net/U-570Gen...ylorCoffee.htm
There is simply not space enough in that between-hulls area for large foamy waves to move freely through the boat, let alone with such clear visibility deep inside the outer hull, where there also cannot be enough light for such clear visibility.
Of course there is water moving through those holes, but to a much smaller extent than those big foamy waves currently visible. Therefore, in my modest opinion, it would look more realistic, if those small holes were less transparent, not displaying an inside moving ocean.

Did you mean quality of shadows or color of shadows?
I ask about color of shadows on water (too dark on water).

That's my opinion, too. For my taste it would look better if the shadow projected of the boat onto the water surface would have less contrast (not as dark as now).
