I will readly adimit that i am not really sure what the above means except i can see that dangerousewaters.exe and navalsimebgine are mentioned. I haven't been able to locate the error logs in the event viewer for my home laptop but both machines had the same problem so i think that the logs would have been similar.
This bug also has been removed (Specially for Captain Wolf).

If they didn't answer its because they don't know.
And people should wise up a little bit, the modders said they would release the next version when a lot of bugs would be squashed/fixed.
As to the timeframe its anyone's guess.



I think the modders should answer (each and every time the same question is asked) by the mod will be out on tuesday and leave it at that.

Default DWX totally unplayable :S

hey all, just dusted off my old disk images for DW (lucky I keep those things.... i have the box too, but the disks are long AWOL), thought I'd try out a mod, as I'd only played vanilla before. So i install, patch to 1.04, and download the DWX or RA mod (seems two names for the one mod). follow the install instructions, to the letter. Installed version 1.0 of the mod. downloaded the patch pack, copyed the replacement files. launched the game.

First thing I noticed: No sound. EVER. NEVER EVER. Great, I think, might be a fix somewhere.... still looking.

Second issue: Freezing. It seems every time in mission when you click on anything (be it the station menu or the raise/lower periscope switch) the game stops and THINKS for sometimes up to 15-20 seconds before doing anything.

My rig is a modern gaming pc. I'm running a stock 9800 GT graphics card on a GA-MA790xt-ud4p mobo alongside 4 gig of DDR3 ram and a phenom II clocked to 3.3 ghz. This should NOT be a slow game.

OS: windows 7 pro (64bit)

PS: Stock DW patched to 1.04 runs FINE, so it seems to be the mod that causes the issues here.

EDIT: I Dl'ed from Commanders Academy and Dive Center's file repository... is there p'raps a different location that I should have used?

EDIT EDIT: Issue is not soley RA mod, my apologies, it seems the 1.04 patch did it to me :S

No answer is not an answer. GrayOwl for one has never replied to any of my post . Can't blame me for feeling I'm being cast out

RE my issue... hard restart seeems to have fixed the issue, all plays as normal now, incl. patch and mod. Go figure :S

What is lame.exe for? I got malware heuristic warning on it while installing DWX 1.2

Ah I see thought it was some kind of converter too. My security app was giving possible malware heuristic when lame.exe tried to execute.
I guess it must have been a false positive.

Thank you for the release GrayOwl both to you and the other RA team/modders.

We need more scenarios but unfortunately so few people are still playing this game and are still interested with it.

Thanks DWX Team for the new ver 1.2

Last night I removed DW with Ver 1.1 and reinstalled DW and patch to 1.4.

And installed DWX Ver 1.2 and have not had time to check out the new changes.

Question? Is there any other patches of Fixes I need to add to Ver 1.2?
