Just added second story to my fort. It's still not higher than the hill it's built into. Which leads to animals still falling in. Had two sheep jumping around, one fell downstairs. I whacked him for his fur and he ran straight into my open fire place. Smells like lamb in here.

Decided to dig a stairway starting from an exit tunnel, going down and then splitting in 2 directions that would both curl back and end up in the same big room. Sort of a grand staircase.

1 of them led into my mine. Was a little surprised to end up in a torchlit open space.

The other was more succesfull, though I hit a gravel vein that led me to dig out a rather sizeable cavern, harvesting a good amount of flint, iron and coal along the way. After filling it back up with dirt and sealing it with cobblestone, I continued to finish the stairs and dig out the room:

Already mined the coal and iron that was part of the room, but still plenty of veins to follow.

Once I'm done with this, my little project to dig out a room will have yielded more resources than that bloody mine.

Any chance to play in multiplayer, mining together and hunt zombies?

SeaNanners, ever since you started playing Minecraft, everyone wants to play Minecraft. And this huge surge made the Minecraft administrators go, "WOAH! WHEN DID WE GET SO POPULAR?" Their answer to this is when SeaNanners, a youtuber / great commentator / all-around good guy, made a single video about this game and everyone caught interest off of his interest. So, their website ASPLODED from SeaNanner's fans (which is us!) Thumbs up if you agree!
Plausible explanation for the crashing of minecraft.net

Here's his first video:

They're pretty good/funny.

I was kinda planning to run a server for SS members. Would need to have that server back up first though; MP atm isn't possible.

This is hands down the best series about Minecraft (not that Seananner's series is bad either):

Well it appears that the servers are back up. Hope I can still play until I have the money to buy it tomorrow.

Frankly I bet it was Penny Arcade that was the main culprit. They have a habit of bringing down sites that they mention or feature in a comic.

Or all three at once.

Well I can still play without buying.

Will purchase tomorrow on payday.

Just broke a block in my lower mine to be greeted by red stuff. Took me a second to realize it was lava. I backed up and blocked off the area, and then dug a ditch so I now have an active source of lava.

The idea of a SS only server would be great.
