Covid cases have climbed by a million in a week in the UK, data from the Office for National Statistics reveals.

Swab tests suggest about one in every 16 people is infected, as the contagious Omicron variant BA.2 continues to spread.

That's just under 4.3 million people, up from 3.3 million the week before.

The figures for the week ending 19 March, are thought to give the most accurate reflection of what's happening with the virus in the community.

Eat plenty and regularly severla times a day, buy plenty of food and snacks, get ill, and buy plenty of drugs - that is what it translates into. Be productive, help to generate company incomes by eating often, eating bad stuff, and swallow expensive chemical agents with meters-long lists of side effects and risk factors! A good citizen is a sick and depending citizen!

^ Your comment reminded me of an issue in one of our News program several month ago.

In the Studio was a Doctor who said It's important to take vitamine and minerals.

Then the journalist asked him a question and he said

No vitamins and minerals does not substitut medicin, what it does it boost your body defence so it fight Covid-19 better and other sickness

There have been nearly 21 million confirmed cases of coronavirus in the UK and more than 164,000 people have died, government figures show.

However, these figures include only people who have died within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus.

So far, 92% of people aged 12 and over in the UK have had their first vaccine dose, 86% have had their second and 67% have had a booster.
