I got suspicious looks by the owner, he checked my card much longer than necessary. My last name is indeed not very typical German, and I think most Americans can't differ between the nuances of a German and a Romanian accent. I was glad I could pay, as I didn't have my passport with me. Didn't even have to deny that I was Romanian.

Who needs enemies when you have relatives?
