I heard that this was made by the Chinese military as a germ warfare weapon.... that "accidentally" got out of containment... or was let loose on purpose. In either case we'll never know the full truth.

There are things in people's life they take for granted or do not thing about it.

These things are electricity, tv, internet(incl. Computers)

95-99 % just press or push a button on the wall and they have electricity or press a button on a remote and they can watch tv..they take these things for granted or do not think about it.

The reason to this, was a picture a Danish news paper had among an article, which was about a young lady who had bought a lot and a lot of food, ´cause she is convinced the society will come to a fall, due to this Corona epidemic.

At first I did not pay any attention to this picture..then it was like..hey wait a minute...and yes many of the food she had bought need to be cooked.

If it should happen, what this women and other fear-then it would also mean breakdown on electricity or lots of black-outs which can be for hours.

In other words some if not most of it have to eaten cold.
I would recommend her to buy some type of heating thing who use(forgot the word)

That's one of the first rumors I heard too, but it turned out to be false media.

Now the rumor is that the CIA (our CIA) invented the virus due to anger at China, but that rumor has been traced back via Facebook to a group headed by the Russians.

They actually get people to believe whatever seeds they plant and the Russians have had some limited success in their operations.

The other seed thought has been that marketing of live animals caused the disease in the first place. You know snakes, bats, those dragon looking things.

Which has been going since the caveman days and is a little hard for me to accept that theory, but my boss had another insight that the animals for sale in the market place
of Wuhan China were actually from a lab in Wuhan that had been experimenting on the animals and when the usefulness of the animal was over they didn't kill them,
but instead sold them to make a little money on the side.

What, when or where may never be known

Get a rocket oven. There are models optimised for using coal, there are models optimised for using wood, there are models that can use both.

Additionally I have two small camping stoves for burning gas cartridge of two formats, petroleum, gasoline, and even alcohol and fuel creme (dont know how they call it in English).

The reason is simple: diversification of chances and risks. If supply chains break down for a while, one does not necessarily know what kind of fuel one will have access to again first, so whatever you can get your hands on to replenish your used supplies, you want to be able to use whatever it is. For this reason I also recommend a rocket stove. Where there is a sack of grill coal in your cellar, or nature and wood near your place, you can use both safely in it. It also makes a nice cooking experience if you have guests in your garden. Something diffent. Put a Dutch oven on it, or a Wok pan, and people will go "OH!" and "Ah!"

Diversification of risks and options. Multi purpose use of tools and ressources. In case of emergency, you do not want to depend on needing to take care of plenty of highly specialised tools, but you want a few ones only - but these of a multi-purpose kind so that the one can serve in the others purpose as well in case on breaks or goes missing or batteries or fuel are out.

Trump downplays the severity of coronavirus, comparing it to the flu.
Quote:
President Donald Trump sought to downplay the plunging price of oil and the global spread of the new coronavirus as markets fell on Monday, saying that falling gas prices were good for consumers and comparing the coronavirus to the common flu. “Good for the consumer, gasoline prices coming down!” Trump wrote in one of a series of posts on Twitter.

In another, he wrote that the flu killed 37,000 Americans last year, compared to 22 known deaths from COVID-19. “Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on,” he tweeted.
Trump had contact with congressmen Collins and Gaetz before they self-quarantined over coronavirus concerns.
Quote:
President Donald Trump had contact with two Republican congressmen before their announcements Monday that they were entering self-quarantine after learning they had been previously exposed to someone since diagnosed with coronavirus.

Rep. Doug Collins of Georgia shook hands with Trump last Friday when the president traveled to Atlanta to visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, where officials there briefed him on their response to coronavirus.

Rep. Matt Gaetz of Florida flew on Air Force One with Trump on Monday on a flight from Orlando, Fla., to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland. The New York Times, citing two people with knowledge of the situation, reported that Gaetz learned shortly after the plane was airborne that he, like Collins, had been in contact with a person at the Conservative Political Action Conference in Maryland in late February who since has been diagnosed with coronavirus. Gaetz then sat in a section of the plane by himself, the newspaper reported.
Congressman who came into contact with coronavirus patient spent the weekend with Trump.
Quote:
Republican Rep. Matt Gaetz, who says he was told he came into contact with someone who is infected with coronavirus at the Conservative Political Action Conference, spent the weekend with President Trump at his resort in Mar-a-Lago, according to two sources familiar.

Gaetz also spent Saturday evening as the president's guest at an intimate dinner with Brazil's President Jair Bolsonaro.

On Monday, Gaetz also rode in the presidential limousine in Orlando with Trump. The men were seen sitting just feet from each other chatting in the presidential vehicle. They both exited the presidential vehicle and boarded Air Force One on Monday for the flight back to Andrews Air Force Base.

Sounds like something I heard recently, Russia and Saudi Arabia decided to flood the oil market and take the US out.

Meanwhile, this Wuhan Flu situation reminds me of Operation Dark Winter.

Feasibility of controlling COVID-19 outbreaks by isolation of cases and contacts

What is different in 2020 compared with 2003?
https://www.thelancet.com/journals/l...129-8/fulltext

I wouldn't pay that much attention to the exponential growth model.especially when it comes to infectious disease, I know its the new craze, but its really just a simplified view of a very complex problem. If you're interested in a more realistic model even though it may cause severe brain cramp, take a look at whats called Logistics Growth Model https://services.math.duke.edu/educa...tic/logi1.html

Guys, its time to raise early in the morning, rush to the hospital and to use your towel for what it was made for.

This table shows the number of hospital beds per 1000 population. Have you already reserved yours?

https://www.indexmundi.com/g/r.aspx?v=2227&l=de

Rank - Country - beds/1000

2. Japan 13.4
3. DPR Korea 13.2
4. Republic Korea 11.5
8. Germany 8.3
10. Russia 8.2
20. France 6.5
32. Cuba 5.2
67. Italy 3.4
73. Spain 3.0
76. USA 2.9
82. UK 2.8
89. Canada 2.7
94. Denmark 2.5
96. Sweden 2.4

Americans may want to compare their situation with that of Italy. Italy is a hotspot of ev ents, and the bed/population quotas are in the same range.

On average, a good estimation is that round the hour in Western countries two thirdsa of beds usually are already occupied. Else the house would generate no revenues, which is what hospitals these days predominantly are about.

I can testify to that. When I had my adverse blood transfusion reaction 2 years ago, the two hospitals I tried to get admitted to were full and not taking new patients.

True. Most of those beds that Skybird listed were already occupied before the pandemic began.

Its the Saudis doing it, the Russians just accept to swallow it, since it damages them, too, but they have not forgotten that the US tries to bully them out of the liquid gas market, too.

The extremely high costs and incompetitive prices for fracking oil and gas now fall back on the US states who invested very big ammounts of money in the past ten years. Such low prices are hard to digest if you have invested billions and billions before. The Saudis are out to slit your throat. And with the Russians not opening a second front against them, the Saudis may reach their goal, and wreck many fracking companies or financially press those states housing them, Texas in the main.

From a German perspective, I have not forgotten Trump's stunt on the Northstream pipeline. It delays the finishing only however, but still - we will not forget it. And the Russians not anyway. Here again the US' aggressiveness is due to the need to get compensation for the big investements in the past ten years and so to force Europe to buy form the US, not from Russia. But who wants to pay 30% over price if he can get market prices from somebody else?

President Trump tweets from yesterday:
Quote:
So last year 37,000 Americans died from the common Flu. It averages between 27,000 and 70,000 per year. Nothing is shut down, life & the economy go on. At this moment there are 546 confirmed cases of CoronaVirus, with 22 deaths. Think about that!
Quote:
Good for the consumer, gasoline prices coming down!
Quote:
The Fake News Media and their partner, the Democrat Party, is doing everything within its semi-considerable power (it used to be greater!) to inflame the CoronaVirus situation, far beyond what the facts would warrant. Surgeon General, “The risk is low to the average American.”
