Technique + talent = great work!
As far as the added plates are concerned, I'm fine with the texture I use - but others will prefer to have them removed. but the advantage of removing them would be to design new plaques on the model of the period photo posted above (it would be necessary to be able to mark the locations of these plaques on the deck). About your work on the relief plates around the cannon: are you thinking of doing a specific Mod, perhaps including other 3D contributions you've made to the outer structure of the sub?
