Well, opening up an Attack Disc was a mistake as it isn't developed yet and there is no way to close it .

Hi Luken. to close the attack disk just put your mouse cusior over the area where the button was and click it and it will close. I done it 3 or 4 times with no problems.

Hi Reaper7
I have try and yet i can play There are some tricks to review: - Crew Manager button do not work - Chrono stopped working after one use (open / close / open) -To open the first time the TDC panel, I had to use the periscope observation and after I was able to use it permanently (all views) - For disk attack: that should be the menu bar over the view (as for the TDC and other), otherwise it's a bit hard to close it I will test this yet, but otherwise your UI is genial , I love the TDC panel |

Besides fixing few minor problems, I think there are three things that would make that UI simply perfect for me, and by perfect I mean, I would never look at any other UI - EVER. That things are:
1. Working Attack Disc with all rings/discs (I'm just in love with this tool ) 2. Proper Recognition Manual 3. Manual navigation (the least important for me, mainly immersive factor) It looks so good, that lack of these features is so painful to accept... It's like you can easily imagine that UI with these tools, and you are almost crying that they are not there. Easy to imagine, hard to code . It's a shame that I can't code to help with it. But I can try to polish some graphics, don't know yet. I'm not familiar with dds format but I do have a Photoshop with plugin for it. The problem is - while saving there are many options to choose from, and I don't know how should I save it. http://i40.tinypic.com/2ntwheg.png Any clues how should I save dds files for SH5? |

I dont know your exporter ( i have not photoshop)
But,i use DXTBmp is free and easy to use open the dds with DXTBmp-> export the alpha (to redo later)-> send the map (not the alpha) to photoshop (see menu pref for choose)->make your change save (bitmap, targa, dds )-> reopen with DXTBmp, import the saved alpha or redo a template alpha -> and save as DDS DXT5 Voila |

2. Proper Recognition Manual ?? Not sure what your asking for here - there is a recognition manual already. Or do you mean one where you can use without target locked like in sh3/4 - I can add this if thats what you are referring to. 3. Looking into that at the moment - have a few ideas As for dds files in PS. All you need to chose is DXT3 from the dropdown menu. Or DXT5 if you need better transparency for items like glass (Less compression but larger filesize) |

Hello, I tried to do my first modification of modification (Ui-Boat 5.02) .
My target was RAOBF as I don't really like its graphic. That's how looks like RAOBF in Ui-Boat now: http://i39.tinypic.com/21ngn0m.png http://i40.tinypic.com/15n4m50.png (red light) For me that graphic has few major flaws: 1. It's too bright (irregularly) even for a daylight. 2. The perspective was somewhat messed up because of that knob on bottom-right. So I tweaked it a little to make it look more realistically and not out of place. http://i42.tinypic.com/1zzos1w.png As you can see I changed a little bit also a color of center ring so the whole thing looks more clear (for me at least), but I'm not sure of that change yet. The problem is that the night version is too dark - http://i41.tinypic.com/2cdfgw4.png and I don't know what to do with it, I tried to play with RAOBFNightMask.dds but without good results yet. I will also try to make every number more clearly visible by some pixel art . What do you think about that version? |
