Does that mean I can poison this board with my ill humor, and make an ass out of myself with my chronic foot in mouth disease for another 15 years?

I am not asking for permission, simply stating my intent to continue to post foolish crap.

Happy Anniversary Subsim!

I am in the 1998 "Fix my 688 Campain. So that makes 14 year (makes me feel old).

A party? Will there be cake? Doesn't matter. The Cake is a Lie***8482;

Just wanted to tell you, Uncle Neal, that without your forum my Silent Hunter experience since it took over from my then-favorite, AotD, would not have been the same and certainly not near as enjoyable as it was.

Also, I might have had the time to see my kids grow up, but that's a different matter

I'd go into a list of the memories I have from this community from over the, dang, 8 years since I registered?, but I'd bore you all silly before I even got started, so let me say instead that you've been a great uncle. You've put up with things that no moderator ought to have to put up with (and that would have made lesser admins throw up their hands in disgust and shut the place down); I know, because I have been one of the insufferable twits who was more concerned with complaining about the issues with the early SH installments than with how to get them fixed. Remember the StarForce meltdown? I do.

You were the calm voice who persuaded me to just take it easy and to stick with it, and you were right. If I hadn't listened to you, I would have missed a lot and I would have deserved it too.

There are hundreds of community members here who contributed to what this place is, but you're the glue holding the whole thing together, and I don't think I'm exaggerating when I say that you, more than anybody else outside of the publishers and developers who chose to stick with the genre, have been the one to make sure that people like me would even have new sims catering to us coming out.

We could then sit around moping and grousing about how nobody wanted to publish sims we wanted to play.

Instead we have Subsim and the greatest community for us afficionados of steel cages under the ocean known to man.

Thanks, Neal, and since tax return day is coming up, expect a tithe.
