We spent about 4 hours today touring the battleship USS Texas. The special "hardhat" tour Neal arranged took us places the public doesn't get to see.

Just got back home... we originally planned to stay until around noon, but pulled out closer to 1:00
It was great meeting everyone there! I had a lot of fun, and my wife did too! Didn't get to say bye to the GWX crew that made it out! - i think they were nursing hangovers (should have stayed with them for the night!)

I cant divulge any discussions from the subsim meeting which revolved around any Silent Hunter Related mods, or any new releases of submarine simulations be them real or fictional.
I cannot confirm nor deny the development of SH5 or any upcoming release... real, or fictional. Sorry... I'll say no more on the matter. Enjoyed meeting everyone!! sorry i couldnt stay the whole weekend!

Today we met bright and early at Seawolf Park to volunteer for clean-up duty post-Hurricane Ike.
During the storm surge, a shipping container full of vintage naval equipment floated away and broke apart about one-half mile down shore. Our mission for the day: find and recover as many of the lost artifacts as possible. Check out the photos here: http://s231.photobucket.com/albums/e...ark%20Cleanup/ |

Nice photo's Bill. Wish I could have made it, but, oh well. One thing I noticed and please no one take offense, but, you guys are older than I would have guessed. Perhaps its just me being nieve, but I would have guessed everyone to be in the 30's range. Oh well hope yall are having fun.

Got home a little over an hour ago. Had a great time, but had to leave to take care of some work after the developer discussion. Can't get over what a great time given how much we didn't get to do. Can't wait to make a trip back to continue assisting in getting the Cavalla back in condition and to scream around Texas Texas with Neal on our motorcycles. Neal and I had also spoken about doing a little Dangerous Waters multiplayer on the next trip, so if we do anyone interested in joining us hone up your skilz because once I train Neal and the Houston area guys up we will be kicking some major butt!
