I have just enabled 'Sober's 1900 new mod list and I am still getting a ctd.

I get ctds with single missions no matter what mods I use . The game is seriously screwed up with single missions . I never play them .

Ukraine’s government was overthrown with blood and violence, and new goverment calls itself "legitimate".
Crimea declared independence, unanimously voted for joining Russia - and it's NOT legitimate, wow...
That's not even close to any "freedom".

We should consider that stock historical missions are designed over stock game.
It is likely that several of them are getting broken due to the many changes brought in game by OHII (unit types, unit availability dates, country sides, etc.). Not really OH's fault, but those missions may need various tweaks to work with it.

With or without using the Tutorial as soon as any Historical Mission tries to load ctd.

The technical term is screwing around with mods or S.A.W.M. for short . Reinstall the game .
