For this foreigner's simple mind, the reason for the Republican disappointment does not look any complicated at all. Just always hacking away at Biden at every opportunity and think that would be enough to win the elections while having nothing, practically really nothing to offer as a reasonable, constructive alternative than just the distorted personality cult of the golden and glorious Donald himself, proved to be a bit too thin as if it would convince each and everybody.
Another major reason imo is abortion politics, that activated many voters, I assume.

Each team had an election strategy and the better man lesser of the two evils won. Though I see neither party as having any real substance in their message.

Democrat Katie Hobbs defeats MAGA Republican Kari Lake in Arizona governor’s race. Prepare for more election fraud ranting.

No, but the MAGA party claims it for every loss. It can't possibly be anything else you know....

So is it like some kind of official MAGA party announcement? BTW has Cankles stopped claiming the 2016 election was stolen yet?

I think Hillary Clinton, Al Gore and Terry McAuliffe are still pouting too.

Hillary Clinton lost due to the election system you have-despite she got 1-2 million more votes. Is this the same as saying it was stolen ? NO accuse the election system you have.

Al-Gore lost in a court - If I remember correctly. Could he say it was stolen ?Maybe but then he should blame the election system you have and the court.

The other person - here I have no clue.

Les you should really start using punctuation. I had to read your post three times before I realized there should be a period between bag and in.

Is Trump's announcement he's running in 2024 going to split the GOP? The GOP has already stated they weren't going to back him if he announced so I guess we'll find out if he eludes a felony conviction in the meantime.

The Dems would be doing the GoP a big favor if they do happen to manage it which is why I think they won't.

I don't think politics will have any bearing on Trump's legal problems from here on out.

Well that would be a 180 degree change from the dems efforts thus far now wouldn't it.

By now too many republicans (should) have unterstood that Trump is a roadblock rather than a stepping stone, and it also has become obvious that there are other republican candidates who can/may/promise to deliver the same things, but are more competent and less dramatic.
I don't think Trump can get anywhere close to DeSantis in the primaries, let alone defeat him. Afterwards Trump might leave the republicans and form his own party, but only a small part of the party will follow him, the majority will be quietly thankful.

The mid-terms have just showed that being Trump-backed is a way to lose elections.
