Kitchen is complete! carpenter arrived for finishing critical touches; ie earthquake latches for all overhead dish cabinets (prevents the ankle deep china shards in two previous quakes-one 5.2 epi-centered 500 yard from the house twelve years ago (30k chimney destroyed) and a 6.0 just 2 years ago (wall damage)-we're still recovering from>

A "relaxing" evening with classic games. Play TIE Fighter, they said. It will be fun they said... Tell you what: A T-Ford can outpace these damn Gunboats I'm stuck with and T-Fords were never known for being superior space crafts.

Got out early tonight due to no events as for tomorrow looks like 9:30-9:45 depending how long these folks take to leave after their bookings. Freezing cold coming home but have to say no ice so that has to be a up side.

Relaxed today. 70F in the middle of January? I'll take it!

Went for a drive, saw a friend from out of town and worked on a few things with the window open.

It's okay. It's cooled back down quite a bit.

January resumes when the week does.

Just finished making the final preparations for the wifes 60th on Wednesday.

My daughter sure has an uncanny knack of spending her old mans money.

Happy Birthday in advance to Ann. I hope you both enjoy her day.

As far as your money Jim, I'll keep it for you if you like and hide it. She will never find it.

Happy birthday to the missus Jim.

Got some new windows being fitted upstairs, so wearing my hoodie inside as the door is open and the windows are gone!

Whilst I'm here, got a 3m deep hole dug in the road outside my house - adding sewerage capacity for some new houses being built up the road. Oh, and obviously they went through a gas pipe
