Love it!

I work in the visual effects business and I can say that looked pretty nice!

Does a bigger sail, with bigger AA slow down the boot while submerged? Does it have a range underwater panalty?

Nope.

You can set the torpedo depth under the torpedo tube selection panel after your target is locked in identified. There is a vertical slider for adjusting the desired depth.

i knew this, but i ment, how do i tell how low in the water the ship rides? =/, setting a depth doesn't really do anything if i don't know how deep to set it D:
i.e. is this ship 3 meters under the water? 6 meters under the water?

When you have identified your target, a keel profile will appear in the depth settings display, showing you graphically how deep to set it. For a magnetic shot, you'd want to set it around 1 m below the keel, for a contact shot, anywhere between 2-5 meters is normally okay.

I usually try to hit the first torpedo in the aft to knock out the propulsion, or under the keel midships to try to knock it out in one blow
